"Bites from Edwin" has not been thrilled with recent messy results of USA's democracy -- or what H.L. Mencken among others has lampooned as "boobocracy."
"Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people" -- just one of
Mencken's jokes about it.
But recently an eminent scholar of democracy, the political scientist Robert Dahl, died.
